Committees

The Board of Directors has established four committees: the Communications Committee, the Education Committee, the Government Lobbying Committee, and the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee. Each committee operates according to a written Terms of Reference, outlining its responsibilities and membership requirements.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee has the primary purpose of enhancing Media NB’s role as a central hub for the media industry in New Brunswick. This includes developing effective communication strategies, identifying and addressing industry needs, and building a comprehensive resource center.

Government Lobbying Committee

The Government Lobbying Committee has the primary purpose of developing and implementing a strategic plan for effectively presenting Media NB's priorities to government officials. This includes identifying and engaging an expert in political strategy to guide our lobbying efforts and conducting a survey to determine the top three concerns of our members to advocate for on their behalf.

Education Committee

The Education (Outreach) Committee has the primary purpose of enhancing the professional development and career growth opportunities for Media NB members by providing access to training resources, valuable industry insights, and strategic partnerships.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility Committee

The DEI Committee has the primary purpose of promoting diversity, ensuring equity, and fostering inclusion within the media industry. This involves advocating for fair opportunities, providing education and resources, and creating a supportive environment where all individuals feel valued and respected.
