The Slack
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Vanessa King on the release of The Slack, a haunting, slow-burning maritime noir set on New Brunswick’s Fundy coast.

Created, co-written, and directed by Vanessa, The Slack was filmed in St. Martins, Hampton, and Smithtown, NB, and tells a gripping, non-linear mystery that explores memory, trust, and truth when nothing is quite as it seems.
Congratulations to Vanessa and the entire cast and crew on this powerful achievement.

What We Dreamed Of Then
Now playing in theatres across the region, What We Dreamed Of Then tells the powerful story of a passionate swim coach and devoted father navigating the hidden realities of invisible homelessness after being forced to live out of his van. Proud to celebrate this important New Brunswick–rooted film and the members behind it.

Groove
The official trailer and poster for GROOVE have been released, marking an exciting step toward the premiere of this original scripted television series developed, produced, and filmed in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Created by Korex Taiwo Adebayo and produced by Korexcalibur Inc., GROOVE follows six students placed in a university “integration” living program, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and cultural integration as deeper systemic pressures begin to surface. Honest, timely, and deeply relevant, the series reflects lived experiences within multicultural communities while showcasing the depth of creative talent in our province.
Filmed primarily at UNB Saint John, the production was made possible with the support of local partners, including the New Brunswick Film Co-op, Saint John Arts Centre, and the Saint John Newcomer Centre, a powerful example of community-driven storytelling.
Bedaine
From Connexions Productions, Bedaine follows a once-adored superhero, formerly known as The Sparrow (Ryan Doucette), now living in quiet obscurity in his Nova Scotia hometown after a tragic event. Struggling with loss and self-doubt, he is forced to confront his past when an ambitious scientist, Dr. Évelyne (Sofia Blondin), arrives with plans that threaten the future of his community.
Blending humour, heart, and regional storytelling, the series explores redemption and resilience in unexpected ways.
The first four episodes premiered on February 26 on ICI TOU.TV EXTRA, with the remaining episodes launching on March 5th.

Jimmy Saves the World!
The second season of Jimmy Saves The World! is now available to watch on Bell’s Fibe TV1 service.
​
Produced in New Brunswick, the series features comedian Jimmy MacKinley in a unique blend of comedy and original content. This new season continues to showcase local creative talent and the energy of our industry.

Feeli Tout / La Brigade
Two animated productions made in Miramichi, Feeli Tout and La Brigade, have been nominated in the Best Aspirational Content category at this year’s Youth Media Alliance Awards.
Feeli Tout was created by Cindy Roy, produced by Productions Rivard, developed by Gene Fowler, and produced by Jessica Beckett at Loogaroo.

La Brigade was created by Chuck Clement, produced by Manito Media, developed by Gene Fowler, and produced by Jessica Beckett at Loogaroo.

Real Verdicts
From Vulture’s Bluff, Real Verdicts is a Fibe TV1 series directed and produced by Robert Gow that takes a raw and unfiltered look at lives shaped by the criminal justice system.
​
Through intimate interviews with ex-offenders, victims, and those working within the justice system, the series explores the human stories behind crime, consequence, and redemption.
​
Hosted by Robert Gow, the series follows the day-to-day realities of former gang members, an RCMP staff sergeant, and a man serving a life sentence, offering a deeply personal perspective on justice and transformation.

The series is now available on Fibe TV1 (Channel 1) and the Fibe TV app, with the trailer available on YouTube.
Maximichien
From Loogaroo, Maximichien marks an exciting milestone as the book series enters development with CBC/Radio-Canada.
​This achievement highlights a significant step forward for New Brunswick’s presence in the animation industry. The development of Maximichien reflects the growing recognition of local intellectual property and the strength of storytelling talent within the region.
This milestone underscores the continued expansion of New Brunswick’s creative sector and its ability to bring original projects to national platforms.
